The NZ Art Show will return to TSB Arena and Shed 6 in Wellington from Thursday, May 28, to Sunday, May 31, bringing more than 200 artists and about 4000 original artworks to the city’s waterfront.
The annual event aims to make original New Zealand art more accessible, with three public days, an opening gala night, and work spread across two connected waterfront venues.

Visitors will be able to explore thousands of original artworks, meet the artists behind them, and buy pieces either online or at the door.
The show will be held on one level across TSB Arena and Shed 6, which are connected by a light-filled atrium.
Organisers say the venue is fully accessible for wheelchairs and prams, with parking available beneath the venue and on nearby streets.
The exhibition will include several feature zones highlighting different parts of Aotearoa’s creative community.
They include The Shutter Space, focused on photography and lens-based art, Te Reanga Toi Hou, showcasing emerging contemporary Toi Māori voices from Toi Rauwhārangi, Massey University, and the People’s Choice Art Award, where visitors can vote for their favourite artwork.

Other features include Next Generation Artists, Urban Relics: The Imperfect Grid by Glen Jorna, a Sculpture Showcase, The Curators Circle, and chill out zones created by Furniture by Design.
A special collaborative work, Art is a Lifesaver, by Ellie Compton and Clint C, will raise money for Maranui Surf Lifesaving Club, with all proceeds from the sale going directly to the club.
The show will also host several special events, including a VIP Morning on Thursday, May 28, from 11am to 1pm, and The Gala from 6pm that evening for sponsors, friends and invited guests.
Summerset Seniors Morning will run on Friday, May 29, from 9am to 11am, offering older visitors a quieter time to view the exhibition.
Women of Pōneke Evening will be held on Saturday, May 30, from 6.30pm, celebrating women in arts, leadership and community.
The NZ Art Show is a short walk from Lambton Quay, Cuba Street and Courtenay Place. Tickets are available online, with door sales also available.
