A children’s art exhibition celebrating hopes for a more peaceful world has returned to Johnsonville for its 11th year.
Tūmanako 2026 is on display at Waitohi Hub, Johnsonville Library, from 17 August to 6 September.
This year’s theme explores the idea of how one thought or action can grow into a “forest of peace”, with children expressing their ideas through art.
The annual exhibition gives young people an opportunity to share their hopes for peace, while encouraging visitors to reflect on how small ideas and actions can contribute to positive change.
The exhibition can be viewed during normal library opening hours at Waitohi Hub.
